Eastern division registers only five voters

Voter registration centres in the Eastern division registered only five people on Sunday and this is the lowest number of turn-out recorded so far around registration centres in Fiji.
However after Sunday’s registrations, the Elections Office registered 7143 people around all the centres and this tallies the confirmed number of people registered after the fourth week of registration to 294,012.
The Central division registered 1274 people, the Western division with 1243, the Northern division with 4621 and the Eastern division registered only five people.
This brings the total number of people registered in the Central division to 117,911, the Western division with 103,455, Northern division with 58,559 and the Eastern division follows behind with 14,087.
A total of 18,058 people registered in week one, 78,326 in week two, 114,907 in week three and 82,721 last week.
