The Fiji Institute of Surveyors voiced their concerns and grievances today to the Acting Prime Minister and Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum.

Suva branch President Himayat Ali raised four main concerns which includes the approval process for projects, the Moratorium on Agricultural leases meaning subdivision is not allowed, completion certificates of final subdivision plans from Fiji Roads Authority and the surveyors positions.

Ali said this is all about development of infrastructure and acquiring final land titles for security of tenure for all.

While responding to the submissions, Sayed-Khaiyum said he understands the concerns and government is already looking into this.

Sayed-Khaiyum also said that surveyors play a major role in our economy just like any other profession.
